DEI MATTERS for Small Business Owners, Organization Leaders, and Employees
DEI MATTERS for Small Business Owners, Organization Leaders, and Employees
DEI MATTERS for Small Businesses Owners, Organization Leaders, and Employees is an online self-paced professional learning and development course. Many small business owners, organization leaders, and/or employees may be interested in learning about DEI topics for their professional and personal development but may not have access to the opportunity to do so or aren't sure where to start or what topics to focus on. Let’s change that! This approximately five-hour online self-paced course gives small business owners, organization leaders, and/or employees access to four learning modules using webinars that intentionally connect to one another and carve out a pathway for individuals and groups to walk the walk of leading and working with DEI in mind. This introduction to DEI journey prepares small business owners, organization leaders, and/or employees through module topics that include: (1) DEI Literacy: Key terms and concepts; (2) Social identities; (3) Microaggressions and bias; (4) Allyship and solidarity. Supporting module resources are included, including a dialogue facilitation guide for self-processing and/or group processing within the business or organization. A certificate of completion is earned upon successful completion of the online course that includes webinar viewing and learning checkpoints.
Disclaimer: Enrollment in the course will remain active for 6 months from date of purchase. Modules / Webinar recordings are viewable only and not available for download. This course is not a train-the-trainer and the course curriculum is not permitted to duplicated and distributed in other training sessions.
Content-warning: The content you learn about in this course includes topics that are sensitive and that may make you feel emotionally uncomfortable. Emotional discomfort may occur around content that connects to your own lived experiences or around content that connects to the lived experiences of your colleagues or other community members. Please remember your participation in the DEI MATTERS course is voluntary, and you can stop your participation at any time.
My wish for you:
My wish for you is that across this professional learning and development journey you learn from brave spaces, feel thoughtfully engaged, and leave more intentionally prepared for your workplace environments.
